Full Time Seasonal Job: Summer Canyoning Guide in Marbella

During the peak summer months of July and August, it’s your time to shine. You’ll be working full days, from Monday to Friday. You arrive at our office in San Pedro de Alcántara around 09:00 with your colleagues. Together, you prepare the equipment and load the van. From there, you drive to the parking area near the canyon, where you lay out the equipment. As the clients arrive, group by group, you head out. You give a safety briefing first, and then the adventure begins!

Your workplace is the stunning canyon of Benahavís, where you guide guests through clear waters, natural rock slides, small jumps, and scenic routes surrounded by impressive cliffs and greenery. It’s physical work — but it’s also incredibly fun, social, and refreshing. You spend your days in the water under the sun, escaping the summer heat while doing something active.

The groups you guide are always a complete mix: families, couples, groups of friends, solo travellers, young adventurers, and people trying canyoning for the very first time. No two tours are the same. Your main focus is always safety first, while still creating a relaxed and fun atmosphere so guests feel comfortable, confident, and excited throughout the experience. We provide clear training and safety guidelines so you know exactly what to do in every situation. Within that structure, you bring your own energy to each tour: motivating people, calming nerves, celebrating jumps, and turning the activity into an unforgettable adventure. At the end of each tour, guests leave proud, smiling, and full of adrenaline. They know they’ve done something they’ll talk about for years. And you leave knowing you’ve given them one of the highlights of their holiday — while also having had a great day yourself in nature. You usually return to the office around 17:30–18:00 with your colleagues. There, you quickly wash the equipment and hang it to dry. Once that’s done, your day is finished.

Marbella Adventures is looking for enthusiastic canyoning guides to join our team for the summer season. You’ll be leading small international groups on exciting tours in the beautiful canyon of Benahavís, just outside Marbella. This is a unique opportunity to work in a breathtaking natural setting while staying active and earning well throughout the summer.

We offer full-time work in July and August (expect to earn around €3.000 per month). In the months surrounding the peak season, if you are available, we may be able to call you in occasionally for tours. We also offer other outdoor activities where you might be able to help out, but work outside the peak season depends largely on demand.

Work days are from Monday to Friday, roughly from 09:00 to 18:00. Occasionally, you may be asked to work a morning weekend tour, but this is rare and rotated among the team, usually only once or twice over the summer.
